Geoecological, geochemical and hydrochemical research of the Black Sea water area of Georgia

In 2022, within the scope of the scientific program "Geoecological, geochemical and hydrochemical research of the Black Sea water area of Georgia" of Alexandre Janelidze Institute of Geology, field works were carried out on separate sections of the Black Sea coast of Georgia. Ecological audit was conducted; the ecological conditions of the recreation zones of Sarphi, Kobuleti and Batumi coasts were evaluated. The amount of waste in the sections of the northern periphery of Kobuleti and Sarphi beaches was evaluated. An observation of the remains was also carried out in the river Chorokhi.

In order to find groundwater research water points (wells, boreholes), field reconnaissance works were carried out. Hydrogeological works will be planned in the next stages. The aim of the mentioned studies is to investigate the hydrodynamic and hydrochemical naturally balanced relationship of sea and terrestrial underground freshwaters.
